How do I convert a lawnmower to a gokart? 
Gokarts require a HORIZONTAL OUTPUT SHAFT.
Most lawnmowers have a VERTICAL OUTPUT SHAFTS and are NOT suited for use on a gokart.
Because the shaft points down the engines carburetor and oil sump are designed to operate in
that position. Turning the engine upright would require a re-design of these systems.

Is there a pulley system for VERTICAL OUTPUT SHAFT? 
Gokarts require a HORIZONTAL OUTPUT SHAFT.
We have been in the karting business since 1960 and have not seen such an item produced commercially.
If anyone knows of such a system please forward us some information so that we may pass it on.
